It all began in 1991, back when Alexander Avramoglou moved from Istanbul to Athens, arriving in Greece with past experience of ten years, working for Marti Shipping, as an agent and shipbroker. As soon as he arrived in Greece, it did not take long for the company to achieve a popular status among a large percentage of Turkish shipowners, regardless of ship tonnage or fleet.
Avramar Shipping Agency was established as a shipping agency company in one of Europe’s most prestigious ports, Piraeus. Our traditional business model is based on providing high quality agency services in many ports of Greece. However, the company has also invested in providing services as bunker traders, dry cargo chartering and ship management.
Avramar is able to arrange all sorts of underwater works and inspections mainly at the port of Piraeus and many other Greek ports.
Having direct access to main physical suppliers, the company is able to supply (lubricants included), at all Greek ports including islands such as Syros and Kali Limenes (Crete). Besides of Greek ports, supplies are also available at Bulgarian and Turkish ports.
